Impressions, previous three months → last three months
129K → 488KWe started with Kevin Crowther at zero — a brand-new domain with no traffic, no rankings and no links — in UAE banking and wealth advisory. Six page-one keywords landed inside thirty days, the primary commercial terms followed by month four — and the site now holds AI overviews for queries the banks themselves are chasing.

The problem
A brand-new site launched from zero — no traffic, no rankings, no backlink profile, no brand search volume — competing for banking and wealth queries against institutions with decade-old sites and unlimited budgets. Financial advice is also a your-money-or-your-life category, where Google discounts anything it cannot attribute to a credible, accountable author.
What we did
We built the advisor entity before the content: credentials, regulatory positioning and consistent professional profiles, so there was something for Google to trust from week one. Then a keyword map spanning both intents — informational questions like "how to invest 10,000 AED in the UAE", and commercial comparisons like "best bank in UAE".
Comparison formats did the heavy lifting. Banks will never rank themselves honestly against competitors, which leaves the "top 10" and "which is best" queries open to an independent advisor — and those are precisely the pages AI assistants now cite.
Impressions went from 129K to 488K in the three-month comparison — a 278% lift — on a domain that had no history at all five months earlier.
SEO strategy for financial advisory
Financial advice is the hardest YMYL category in search: banks have decade-old domains and unlimited budgets. An independent advisor cannot outspend them, so the strategy was to out-answer them on the comparison questions they will never touch.
- 01Entity first, on a domain with no historyA brand-new site in a YMYL money niche has no authority to spend. We established one unambiguous advisor identity — credentials, regulatory positioning, professional profiles — before publishing anything.
- 02Informational volume, commercial intent"Best bank in UAE" is commercial; "how to invest 10,000 AED" is not. Both were mapped deliberately, so the site meets the reader while they are still learning and again when they are ready to act.
- 03Comparison content as the wedgeRankings, reviews and "top 10" formats are where an independent advisor can outrank banks, because banks will never compare themselves honestly. That is the content that earned the AI citations.
- 04Clusters, not one-off postsWealth management alone holds three page-one positions from a single pillar and its supporting articles, with internal links routing authority into the commercial pages.

Visibility inside AI search
Banking and wealth questions are exactly what people now ask assistants rather than search engines. The same comparison content that ranks in Google is being cited as a source — 28 pages across four AI surfaces, on a domain only months old.

The verdict
Authority is not only a function of domain age. A precise entity, honest comparison content and correct markup put an advisory site only months old into AI answers for queries the banks are still buying ads against.
