Organic search traffic, month 1 → month 8

+680%

Duraamen sells flooring systems, not installation — so we ranked the site for both. Organic traffic rose 680%, and the service enquiries the site generates now go to contractors who specify Duraamen products in return. The model was strong enough that the client took it to the US market.

The problem

Duraamen launched with a 900-product decorative concrete and flooring catalogue and almost nothing a search engine could reach — a filter-driven product feed, no indexable category pages, and every specification locked inside PDFs. Established suppliers had years of domain history; our only edge was a deeper product library and real installation data nobody else was publishing.

What we did

First we made the catalogue reachable: indexable category and system pages — epoxy, microcement, polished concrete, overlays, decking, sports surfaces — each mapped to a buyer decision rather than a SKU, with specifications moved out of PDFs and into structured on-page content. Then we went after the searches that actually carry the volume. Nobody searches a product code; they search "epoxy flooring dubai", which is a service query. So we ranked the site for the service as well as the product.

That created a second problem worth having: a manufacturer generating installation leads it does not fulfil. So we built the exchange. Service enquiries are routed to flooring contractors who commit to specifying Duraamen systems — the contractor wins the job, the product gets specified, and every completed project adds another installer who recommends the brand. Information gain for the content came from Duraamen’s own installation history: wear ratings by environment, subfloor requirements and real cost-per-square-metre ranges.

The site stopped being a brochure and became a distribution channel: SEO generates the installation leads, contractors get the work, and Duraamen products get specified on every one of those floors.

SEO strategy for flooring and surfaces

Specification-led products are searched by problem, not by product name — and in flooring, most of that demand is service demand, not product demand. So the strategy was to win both sides of the query and then convert the service side into product distribution.

  • Rank for the service, sell the product

Buyers search "epoxy flooring dubai", never a product code. Service-intent pages capture that volume; product and system pages convert the specifier who arrives next.

  • Turn leads into distribution

Installation enquiries are shared with contractors who specify Duraamen systems. The contractor gets the job, the product gets used, and the installer network grows with every project.

  • Replicate, don't rebuild

Once the model was proven in the UAE, the same architecture and lead-exchange were mapped onto the US market, where search volumes in the category are an order of magnitude larger.

  • Search by environment

Warehouse, kitchen, clinic, garage, court — application pages matched to the way specifiers actually brief, then routed to the right system.

  • Specifications out of PDFs

Wear ratings, cure times and subfloor requirements moved into on-page text, making 900 products indexable for the first time.

  • Cost per square metre, published

Installed cost ranges by grade — the number every buyer wants and almost no supplier states — became the highest-converting content on the site.

  • Speed as a ranking and revenue lever

The product template was the slowest page on the site and the last step before an enquiry. Fixing it moved both rankings and conversion.

How the lead-sharing model works

  1. 1

    Service search

"Epoxy flooring dubai" and 140 other service-intent queries land on Duraamen pages.

  2. 2

    Enquiry captured

The visitor wants a floor installed, not a bucket of resin — so the enquiry is for installation.

  3. 3

    Shared with a contractor

The lead goes to a contractor in the network who commits to specifying Duraamen systems.

  4. 4

    Network compounds

The contractor wins work, the product is specified, and the installer becomes a repeat specifier and referrer.

Taken to the US market

The client liked the model enough to export it. We mapped the same architecture and lead-exchange onto the US market and helped build a contractor network there — installers who recommend and specify Duraamen products, fed by the same service-intent search demand.

The verdict

Ranking a manufacturer for service queries it does not fulfil sounds like a mistake. Handled properly it is a distribution strategy — and it worked well enough in the UAE that the client rebuilt it for the United States.
