Page-one rankings in the hair transplant niche — one of the most competitive in UAE medical search

4 months

Global Hair Transplant arrived with more than 500 pages of unedited AI content cannibalising each other. Four months after the clean-up, every primary commercial keyword in the hair transplant niche sat on page one at an average position of 4.2 — and the clinic holds position 1 in Google Maps for its catchment.

The problem

Global came to us with over 500 pages of thin, AI-generated content that had never been edited — duplicate topics competing against one another, keyword cannibalisation across the entire library, and emoji-strewn copy no clinic would want attached to its name. Volume itself was the problem: Google had no way to tell which page answered which query, so none of them ranked. Meanwhile the niche is the most broker-saturated in UAE medical search, where most page-one results are lead-generation sites that never perform a procedure.

What we did

The first job was subtraction. We audited all 500-plus pages, consolidated duplicate topics into single canonical answers, redirected everything that carried equity and removed what did not, stripped the emoji copy, and rebuilt the blog into proper categories so each cluster pointed at one page instead of six competing ones.

Then we built what was missing entirely: dedicated treatment pages for FUE, DHI, beard and eyebrow restoration, each with candidacy criteria, graft ranges, technique differences, recovery timeline and a published price band — authored and reviewed by the operating surgeon, and interlinked with the surviving articles. Local SEO ran alongside — Business Profile rebuilt, categories corrected and reviews generated after every consultation — taking the clinic to position 1 in Google Maps.

Cannibalisation resolved and 500+ pages consolidated down to 148 — the primary commercial keywords reached page one within four months of the clean-up.

SEO strategy for hair restoration

This was a salvage job before it was a growth job. A library of 500+ unedited AI articles does not need more content — it needs subtraction, consolidation and a clear canonical answer per topic. Only then does publishing anything new have a chance.

  1. 01Remove before you add500+ pages audited against traffic, links and intent. Duplicates merged, dead weight removed, equity redirected — all before a single new page was written.
  2. 02One topic, one canonical pageThe blog was restructured into categories and internal links pointed at the surviving page, so authority stopped being split across six near-identical articles.
  3. 03Dedicated treatment pages, properly authoredFUE, DHI, beard and eyebrow pages with graft ranges, technique detail and published price bands — named and reviewed by the operating surgeon, which no broker page can carry.
  4. 04Own the comparisonsFUE versus DHI, clinic versus medical tourism, one session versus two. Comparison intent is where the decision is made — and it is what the brokers answer vaguely.
  5. 05Local SEO done properlyA hair transplant is chosen locally and paid for in person. Business Profile rebuilt with services, procedures and real clinic photography, categories corrected, review generation automated after every consultation — the clinic now holds position 1 in Google Maps for its catchment.

The verdict

The clinic now outranks the brokers that were selling it its own leads — because it answers the graft-count and cost questions those brokers cannot.
